2023 Annual Report
We designed the Annual Report to deliver comprehensive insights into the services provided by ABI Rehabilitation (ABI) for intensive inpatient rehabilitation in Auckland and Wellington from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023. This report highlights the services funded by the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) under the Traumatic Brain Injury Residential Rehabilitation (TBIRR) program. Additionally, it offers an overview of ABI’s broader range of services, showcasing our commitment to transparency and excellence in rehabilitation care.
Concussion Brochure
This concussion brochure is designed to provide clear information about this type of mild traumatic brain injury. Recognising the need for better awareness and education, we created this brochure to explain how concussions occur, the potential impacts on the brain, and the importance of proper diagnosis and treatment.
Te Kuaka – Client Rehabilitation Folder
Client Rehabilitation Folders are designed to support kiritaki and whānau in understanding and engaging with their individualised rehabilitation journey. The folders provide information relevant to the kiritaki’s stay and their brain injury and provide space for individual notes and resources, while at ABI Intensive Rehabilitation Service.
ABI Te Kūaha – Introduction to Te Ao Māori
Interactive pdf: Te Kūaha was developed in 2023 as a resource to support staff understanding of Te Ao Māori, the Māori world. Te Kūaha means ‘the doorway,’ reflecting the sentiment that this piece is a doorway to understanding Te Ao Māori.
