That’s right! Tūroa is opening for winter 2025, this weekend. Here’s what will be operational: Freddie’s Eatery and Alpine Café opens from 31 May. Sightseeing Opens from 31 May (weather dependent).

Tūroa is a paradise for skiers and snowboarders alike. The ski season typically spans from June to October, attracting visitors from around the world with its reliable snow conditions and excellent facilities. The diverse range of slopes includes groomed trails, off-piste areas, and exciting terrain parks, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Tūroa Ski Field also boasts the Highnoon Express, NZ’s highest chairlift, providing access to some of the most challenging and rewarding terrain. The Ohakune Mountain Road leads to Turoa, winding through stunning scenery and offering glimpses of the majestic peaks of the Tongariro National Park.
